2. Website delivery and hosting
When you visit this website, our hosting and content-delivery provider receives technical request data needed to send pages and files to your browser. This can include your IP address, requested URL, request time, browser and operating-system information, and the referring page where your browser supplies it.
This static website is hosted by STRATO AG. STRATO processes technical data needed for delivery, troubleshooting, and protection against misuse. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure website under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Technical records should be retained only for the period needed for these operational and security purposes. Relevant records may need to be kept longer to investigate an incident or meet a legal obligation.
3. Cookies and browser storage
We store your cookie-banner choice in your browser’s local storage under revobits-cookie-consent. It records whether you selected Accept or Decline. This entry has no automatic expiry and remains until you change your choice or clear the website’s stored data.
The revobits-lang cookie remembers the website language. It is configured with a lifetime of up to 365 days and may be renewed when set again. You can delete it or block cookies in your browser settings.
Storage needed to remember your privacy choice and provide the requested language setting is used under § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG. To the extent personal data is processed, our basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, with the legitimate interest of respecting your preferences.
To withdraw a previously saved choice for optional tags, clear this website’s cookies and site data in your browser, reload the page, and select Decline. This prevents the optional tag loader from starting again. It does not undo processing that already took place or erase data already held by a provider.
5. Fonts and other local website resources
The Montserrat and DM Sans font files are served with this website. Loading them does not require your browser to contact Google Fonts. The website’s styles, scripts, and most images are also served with the website. External content on the Contact page is described separately below.
6. Email contact and report form
Our email links open your email application. If you send us a message, we receive the email address, message, attachments, and other information you choose to provide. We use this information to respond to your enquiry and handle the related correspondence, with support from our email service provider.
For requests relating to a contract or steps you ask us to take before a contract, the basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other enquiries, it is our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Providing information is voluntary, but we need a way to reply and enough information to handle your request.
The Reproducibility Report form currently does not send your email address to RevoBITs, an email service, or a CRM. The entered address is held temporarily in the page’s memory and is discarded when the page is reloaded or closed. Submitting this form currently creates neither a report delivery nor a newsletter subscription.
7. External content on the Contact page
Google Maps: the Contact page contains an embedded Google map to show our location. When your browser loads the map, it connects directly to Google. Google can receive your IP address, browser and device information, and referrer information, and may use its own cookies or associate activity with an existing Google account.
ESB 2026 image: the event logo is loaded from esb2026.org. Fetching this image sends technical request data, including your IP address and browser information, to that site and its hosting provider. It is used to display information about our participation in the event.
These external resources currently load automatically when requested by your browser, including when you have not accepted optional tags or have selected Decline. Lazy loading of the map may delay the connection until you approach that part of the page; it is not a consent mechanism. The providers’ own privacy information applies to their further processing.
8. Appointment bookings and external links
Book a Demo opens a separate Microsoft Bookings page on outlook.office.com. The booking service is not embedded in this website. Following the link connects your browser to Microsoft; if you book, Microsoft processes the contact details, selected appointment, and any additional information you enter, and makes the booking available to our team.
We use booking details to arrange and manage the appointment. The basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual or pre-contractual enquiries, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for other meeting requests, with the legitimate interest of organising the requested conversation. You can contact us by email instead of using the booking service.
Links to LinkedIn, conference websites, scientific publications, and other external pages take you to services operated by third parties. These are ordinary links rather than embedded social-media widgets. Their operators process your visit under their own privacy policies.
9. Retention and international processing
For contact and booking records, retention depends on the time needed to handle the enquiry or appointment, any resulting business relationship, statutory retention duties, and the establishment or defence of legal claims. When these purposes no longer require personal data, it should be deleted. Browser-storage lifetimes are described in section 3.
The external providers described above may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Their privacy notices explain the locations, transfer arrangements, and safeguards relevant to their services. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to processing on our behalf.
10. Your rights
Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you may request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability (Articles 15–20 GDPR). Contact the controller using the details above.
Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation under Art. 21 GDPR. You may object to processing for direct marketing at any time.
Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
You may lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority, particularly in the country of your habitual residence, workplace, or the alleged infringement. The Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA) supervises private-sector organisations in Bavaria.
We do not use this website to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.
